Qarar Hayat

Qarar Hayat is a short novel that aims to raise awareness of the necessity of understanding the viewpoint of others for young adults between the ages of 16 and 22.

We used to tell our feeling through speaking, however writing is never less. Now imagine that you have a journal of somebody you don’t know. And through reading this journal you begin understanding her feelings and emotions and be able to partially participate in deciding her fate.That’s the "Qarar Hayat" 

“Qarar Hayat” Is a journal of a 13-year-old girl who was dealing with the separation of her parents and used her journal to express her sadness, anger, and loss through drawings and writings. The girl is called Hayat and the name of this journal is coming from her name and it also means life’s decisions.  

The journal provides decision-demanding situations for the readers which affect the way they judge the situation and the characters. So, there are many paths depending on the reader's choices. However, All the paths were tested to make sure that all the readers can enjoy the story the same.

The colors inside the journal is mainly black ink supported by pencil and other ordinary colored pens. The typography used in the journal is handwritten, the publisher's quote and other added information used a rounded typeface that matches and blended with the handwritten. There is a page in the last part of the book where Hayat decided to record her voice instead of writing, this page would build more connections between Hayat and the reader. There is a code to scan on this page and it will lead to the voice in the website of this novel.  

This book was designed to raise awareness of the necessity of understanding the viewpoint of others and viewing situations from a different perspective. This awareness was passed on through a fun experience.
